When using the "24 VDC power supply" solution, the power module consists of the camera’s DC power cable and a DC power supply device (such as a DIN rail power supply). For the DC power supply device, it is recommended to use the DIN rail power supply provided by Mech-Mind. You may also choose other DIN rail power supplies or DC power devices that comply with the relevant safety standards.

This article introduces the technical specifications and usage notes of the DIN rail power supply provided by Mech-Mind.

  • The DIN rail power supply must be used together with the camera’s DC power cable. For detailed information about the camera’s DC power cable, please refer to DC Power Cable.

  • When using a DIN rail power supply not provided by Mech-Mind, the output DC voltage should be no less than 24 V, and the power must be no lower than 90 W.

  • If you choose to use the "power adapter supply" solution, please refer to Power Adapter.

Usage Notes

  • Please mount the DIN rail power supply inside a control cabinet.

  • The DIN rail power supply or the DIN rail should be reliably grounded. If mounting multiple DIN rail power supplies on the same DIN rail, ensure enough distance in between.

  • When connecting the cables to the DIN rail power supply, please follow the labels on the cables for proper connection. The wire core colors may vary between different batches of cables.

  • Ensure that all cables are connected before powering on the camera. After power is supplied, the camera’s PWR indicator light should be solid green. Otherwise, contact Mech-Mind Technical Support.

  • When using a DIN rail power supply to power camera, ensure a one-to-one configuration, meaning one DIN rail power supply is connected to one camera, to ensure stable power for camera.

  • Please refer to Camera Cable Installation and Routing Guidelines for proper installation and routing of cables.

  • When using a DC power cable longer than 20m to connect the DIN rail power supply and camera, the output voltage of the DIN rail power supply needs to be adjusted to increase by 2 V.

Please refer to the table below to confirm whether the output voltage of the DIN rail power supply is set correctly.

    Voltage standard

    DC power cable length

    camera model

    Output voltage

    Within 20 meters

    NANO-GL

    24 V

    Other models

    24 V

    Over 20 meters

    NANO-GL

    24 V

    Other models

    26 V

    • When the length of the DC power cable connected to the NANO-GL camera exceeds 20 meters, no voltage increase operation is required.

    • According to the figure below, rotate the ADJ button on the DIN rail power supply in a clockwise direction to adjust the output voltage to 26 V. After adjustment, use a multimeter to measure the DC output voltage between the -V and +V terminals on the DIN rail power supply. If the voltage still does not reach 26 V after adjustment, please contact Mech-Mind technical support or your local sales representative.
