Associate Mech-Vision Measurement Project for the Feature

You need to associate a Mech-Vision measurement project for the feature.

  • A Mech-Vision project refers to a 3D vision project created in Mech-Vision to achieve a specific vision task. One or more Mech-Vision projects make up a Mech-Vision solution. Projects cannot be used independently and must be part of a solution.

  • A Mech-Vision measurement project is a specialized Mech-Vision project dedicated to measuring a specific feature of a part. When you use Mech-Metrics, you need to associate the feature with its corresponding Mech-Vision measurement project.

  • Before you use Mech-Metrics, you need to set up the Mech-Vision measurement solution and its measurement projects.

The correspondence between Mech-Metrics resources and Mech-Vision resources is summarized as follows:

relation

The project association steps are as follows:

  1. In the Configuration interface, select a feature in the left-side resource tree of the current part.

  2. In the right-side parameter panel of the Configuration interface, click … next to the Name text field in the Mech-Vision Project section. Then, select the Mech-Vision project corresponding to this feature from the drop-down list.

If the drop-down list does not open after clicking …, please open the Mech-Vision solution to which the Mech-Vision project belongs in Mech-Vision.

    • The Mech-Vision project associated with a Mech-Metrics feature must include an Output Step to output the measured values of the feature.

    • If the Output Step of the project outputs only one feature (and has only one port named feature), the feature name in Mech-Metrics does not need to match the feature name output in the Output Step.

    • If the Output Step of the project outputs multiple features and requires using feature names for output, the feature name in Mech-Metrics must match the feature name output in the Output step.
