Test Dynamic Repeatability

Follow these steps to test dynamic repeatability:

In dynamic repeatability testing, the process is similar to semi-dynamic repeatability testing, except that the part is re-clamped at the beginning of each measurement round. After the part is clamped and secured, the robot, equipped with a camera, moves sequentially to the measurement positions of each feature on the part and takes photos. For example, if a part has 5 features, the dynamic repeatability test is performed as follows:

  1. Secure the part: Secure the part using a fixture.

  2. First round of photo capture: The robot, equipped with the camera, takes photos of all the features on the part in sequence (Feature 1 → Feature 2 → Feature 3 → Feature 4 → Feature 5).

  3. Re-clamp the part: Re-clamp the part.

  4. Repeat the process: Repeat steps 2-3 for the remaining 19 rounds of photo captures. The dynamic repeatability test for the current part is then complete. The semi-dynamic repeatability test for the current part is then complete.

  1. In the Configuration interface of Mech-Metrics, go to the Analysis and Compensation tab and click Dynamic Repeatability.

  2. On the Dynamic Repeatability Testing page, select the part to be tested as the currently clamped part, choose the type as dynamic, select the data source as real-time data, set the repeat times to 20, and then click Start Testing.

    • The recommended repeat times are between 20 and 50.

  3. Run the robot program 20 times on the robot side.

  4. After the testing is complete, view the test results on the right side of this page.

    • If an error occurs, follow the prompts provided by the software to troubleshoot.

    • In this software, the default dynamic pass threshold is a repeatability range (R) ≤ 0.20mm. If the project has different pass threshold requirements, you can contact technical support for modifications.
